Dr. Abdulla Al Wahedi is a leading facilities management expert in the region and the founder and owner of Irtikaz Group which offers property management and owners association management services in Dubai. He has over two decades of experience in facilities management and has held several high-profile roles including his last role as senior director facilities management in Emaar Properties where he oversaw the FM operations of iconic projects such as Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall was the head of Emaar District Cooling Company. In addition, Abdulla supported the FM operations in Emaar’s international subsidiaries in Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Abdulla’s experience is not limited to real estate sector, but also includes a vast experience in telecommunication and district cooling services. At the beginning of his career, Abdulla worked on the first commercial district cooling plant in the UAE with The National District Cooling Company “Tabreed” Later on, he moved to Etisalat and managed various telecommunication and commercial buildings. During his tenure with Etisalat, he was privileged to be part of the project team that setup the second mobile telecom operator in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia “Mobily” and responsible for the developing and operating its MEP services in the eastern province. Abdulla is certified facilities management trainer for MEFMA and a regular participant in regional property and facilities management conferences. Abdulla holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Seattle University, a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the American University of Sharjah, a master’s in international business law (LLM) from the University of Paris and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in business administration from the British University in Dubai. Also, he is a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) and has won Shaikh Rashid Award for Academic Achievement.
